Building trust in teams
Teams do their best work when people can raise concerns, admit mistakes and ask questions without worrying about how it will look. A workshop on psychological safety gives a team a shared language for this and a chance to practise it.
Why activities help
Talking about trust in the abstract rarely changes much. Structured activities let people experience speaking up in a low-stakes setting, then reflect on what made it easy or hard.
Choose the right format
Some teams benefit from a half-day session; others need a series of shorter conversations. Leaders should be present, and they should be willing to go first when sharing.
Prepare the ground
Tell people what the session is for and what it is not. Make clear that no one will be put on the spot. That reassurance often decides how open the room becomes.
